You brought up Franken in the other thread but I distinguish between the two and that is why I am here.
Al Franken will face an ethics investigation, if he makes it that far, for his behavior. The things he is accused of currently do not involve minors and are not to the level of assault - meaning he wasn’t trying to forcibly have sex with them. Also, from what I understand there was no quid pro quo.
Sexual harassment is serious, however, and he should face the music in an open public investigation and the results there of.
To his credit, unlike some other people he has apologized and the one woman he harassed has accepted his apology. We’ll see what develops out of this and any others that come up.
