wireless broadband?

I have my firewall set rather well as well as some other protections. Can't say that I've noticed or encountered any security issues. :)
 
I would have to reccomend the NetGear router. Both the 802.11b and 802.11G routers are superb. The range is excellent and the quality of the connection is amazing.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING by D-Link. I hate my D-link router so much that I took a baseball bat to it, and now I'm on a crusade to make sure that nobody buys anything made by D-Link.

Thanks for the info on D-Link, and also surprising NetGear. Never on my radar. I've been using Linksys cable router for while and like it very much. Thinking about getting their 802.11G Access Point, Card and etc. But the sales people at CompUsa are telling me BELKIN got the best products so far in wireless. Any comments on that. Thanks.
 
Well, I went to the CNET webiste, and they gave the Netgear an awesome review. They also said that the Netgear 802.11G wireless card had the best reception.

So if the reviewers are saying that the wireless routers have the best reception and the cards also have the best reception then you probably can't be too far off from buying the best stuff around.

I really love this thing.

Even though I have Linksys gear, NetGear is better. I recommend both to my computer clients but I do tend to give the edge to NetGear. That's based upon its ease in setup, connection reliability, consistency of service, and all around firewall protection. Just have had such good service out of my Linksys stuff that I haven't had reason to convert. Were I buying now, it would be NetGear! :)

Hi,

Netgear seems to have a new wireless firewall router running at 108Mbps: WGT624. This unit seems to be very much like the WGR614, except for its double speed.

Anyone experience with this one?
