I have discovered that I prefer to stop ½ hr. before the halt. That's a long day trading from "US Market Open" to ½ hr before the halt!

What will tell you that you are ready? Your stats thus far are excellent. You've put on, from the sounds of it, hundreds of trades. This makes it a very statistically significant sample.Appreciate your points but I am not ready to trade "Live".

If going live, your system works as it does in sim, there really isn't much else you need to learn about DOM trading, no? At this point, I do think the only thing you need to learn is how does live trading compare with sim trading, and based on this, you need to learn whatever adjustments you need to make. If you find out that live trading has much different fills, or if you find out that live trading causes you much more anxiety than you thought it would, then perhaps all this sim trading isn't all that beneficial because you're practicing a system that won't work in a live environment.
That I guess is my main point. Anything you learn now from another week of sim trading might be a waste if your original premise of what you are doing proves not to be valid.
in old days big sp when it was trading in the 200's - a female broker i had started making my stops a stop and reverse because i was just that bad at trading and it worked very successfully.
then i started letting that influence my picks and it took me darn near 10 years to get back on track.
Good Morning traders,
Today is the day I try for 3-ticks. (brackets set)
