Quote from gnome:

(If I'm not correct about this, sombody please correct.) Microsoft won't support an OEM version of Windows... they will tell you to go to the OEM vendor. Depending, that might not be good.

I went to EBAY and was going to buy Windows XP PRO.

Well.....everthing I do turns into a compicated project!

OEM -Original Equip. Manufacturer
DSP - Delivery Service Partner (Last time I checked there were only 12)

SFT- (Software-usually seen on Single User Lic. Packs)
SP1- Service Pack 1

FULL- Full Version (Not necessarily Retail)

RETAIL- What it says

ACADEMIC- For sale only through a University to students

COA
STICKER- Certificate of Authencity

Just get the FULL Retail version, you pay full price but you are guaranteed registration with MicroSoft and any extras...etc..

and fyi, there are MANY difference between XP Professional
and Home Edition.
