Windows XP home to XP pro

Is there an upgrade from home to pro? or do I have to buy the full XP pro installation?

I bought the upgrade version of XP PRO and it upgraded right on top of XP Home (OEM Version that came with a new computer). I thought I was going to have issues since I had heard so many horror stories 'bout XPHome to XPPro. But the upgrade was smooth.
