Windows Update- Genuine Adv.

I noticed that windows now requires you to install a new verification genie and no long allows you to disable the geniune adv. from the manage add ons box like it used to. Not it saus the add on is managed by your admin.

Anyone know how to fix this and get it to work?

I noticed this too.

Not as nice as disabling, the original "interactive" workaround still works.

The permanent fix involves changing out a system32 file named CheckLegitControl.dll.

Since the fix (and the WGA version) is new, I'd suggest NOT applying it at this time... I have yet to find consensus on applying the change. Give it a few days.
