Windows 7 reported as starting update to Windows 10 for some without permission.

Thanks for this alert. Didn't read the entire link but I confirmed I have kb 3035583 set to hidden instead of installed. An additional problem I've observed is some of the w10 update kb's mysteriously unhide themselves and pop up occassionally as new updates long after I set them to hidden.
 
I upgraded 5 computers and got lazy on the 6th. Did not check to make sure WIN 10 was compatible. I have a Dell T5400 that is not. The DVD and USB ports don't work right. Updated no longer load. Can't connect my iPhone. I should have checked with Dell 1st. On their website, it says that the motherboard does not have updated drivers for Win 10.

Before you update, always check.

....kinda a similar situation... purchased a windows laptop when 8.2 was brand new. realized 8.2 was junk. purchased another desktop with windows 7. decided to use the laptop when the business moved and found out my 3 year old all-in-one HP printer does not sync w/ the laptop (drivers? who knows?).... my future purchases will definitely be running Apple or even Linux. so tired of this crap. Outlook anyone? pppssshhhhh.

Under Linux I use the mail and news client SeaMonkey https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SeaMonkey for more than 5 years now.
It is similar to Outlook.
SeaMonkey is based on Thunderbird https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Thunderbird
 
So are you saying that I can wake up one morning and find that I don't have Windows 7 anymore?!!!. That would be really messed up, if that is the case.
