Dude, in your so called marathon, you underperformed a money market fund. Now in July, the market lost 3%. It is impossible to go SHORT and still LOSE $$. Well, congrats Tim, because you just show the world IMPOSSIBLE is nothing.

1. My fund is short biased, not 100% short, I also take longs, unfortunately.

2. This marathon lasts decades, one month, one year, and even five years are drops in the bucket. Even though we focus on short-term gains, we have to look beyond these short-time horizons to be willing to learn through our successes and our failures to achieve truly great things over time.

5 years is absolutely not a drop in a bucket in this industry. Most hedge funds don't survive 2 negative years because of the high watermark.

Better off closing shop and starting anew.

I could care less what most funds do and what industry practice is. Some of us still have honor and we won't close our funds, leave our investors with losses, and open a different fund just so we can start earnings fees again. I'm going to work my ass for years, decades, if need be to make back the money I've lost for my investors because it's the right thing to do. We need to bring honor back to this game.

Trust me, your investors will leave you first.

LOL, this coming from a guy who

1) Ganged up on and tortured his roommate until he moved out.

2) Curses at his mother on national t.v.

3) Has been caught lying numerous times.

You have no honer, no morals, and no conscience.
