Quote from Longhorns:
YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A SNAKE OIL SALESMAN.
Thank you for proving what I have been saying.
Maybe you need a dictionary, too:
a snake-oil salesman (American, informal)
someone who tries to sell you something of no value.
I know its difficult for you to accept this, but I've accepted my mistakes and now I know others will be able to learn from all my experiences. And to get the word out, I'll do EVERYTHING I CAN because I know my story has entertainment and educational value.
I sent out about 350 advance copies last month and so far I've gotten amazing blurbs from 200+ people, 20+ have said its the modern-day Reminiscences, 7 say the modern-day How I Made $2 Million, and comparisons to The Secret, The Da Vinci Code, Confessions of a Street Addict, Catcher in the Rye...etc. Out the 100+ people who didn't give me a great blurb, 97 of them haven't had time to read it--I have a total of 3 negative reviews. That's a damn good ratio and it's the only one I really care about.
So, I'm not alone in thinking that my story has value, meaning a snake oil salesman I'm not. And I'll encourage those 3 people to share their thoughts, too, its all about allowing everybody to express themselves
