You must be a lousy freind to ask all 20 of your buddies this exact question.

See my above post. Not sure in conversation if saying "Hey _____ you ever see this stupid WSW show on Tv with this idiot kid who trades his own account and calls it a hedge fund?" is being a lousy friend. Again...my point is...most traders I know, have no idea who he is...that was my point.

Quote from Darkside:

Nothing wrong with giving a fair trial. Hell yeah, just to prove a point, I asked some of the traders (about 9) at my financial institution if they had heard of him.....the answer was no. unanimously.

So 20 isn't a whole lot more to ask....

I figured why the hell not...if these morons supporting Timm(g)ay were right, and he was so famous, and everyone was beating down the door to find out what his secrets were, then statistically one out 9 traders must have at least heard of him....but no...but of course the guys I was talking to are actual professional traders employed by an actual institution (not a prop firm) so they probably don't really worry about people like Timm(g)ay....so maybe my results were biased....

I was just trying to give Timmy the benefit of the doubt and be fair, as I'm sure Eprado was.

mde, Timm(g)ay said he was hiring! woo hoo! Kiss enough ass and you may get to be the intern of a 26 year old "trader" who probably knows even less than you do...which is saying alot.

Thank you...you get the point. I am not saying I am some big honcho in the biz...but guys I came up with in the biz who trade for hedge funds have never heard of him. He claims to have 10,000 new followers or something like that. I find it odd seeing how really nobody I know has heard of him....and these guys are all traders.

He claims to be on the next season of WSW...wonder what they will be following since it seems like he has given up on his trading career.

Please stop telling me what I claim and what I don't. Never said I was going to be a regular on season 2--I only make some cameos--they have new warriors now.

Also, most of the people emailing me have never professionally traded in their lives so you obviously won't find them on a trading floor. My mailing list is approaching 12,000 people--If it was smaller, I would've accepted Wiley's $35k advance offer. Look at the numbers, 8 million+ people trading at discount online brokers, 700k students in college trading online--the market is vast, I only need to tap into a small fraction to make some real money.

I guess I do owe you guys a thank you for asking your trader friends if they'd heard about me--between this message board and that, you're practically my PR team. So, Thanx--keep up the good work! LOL

In all seriousness if you think whats going on here is good pr, you are absolutely insane. Good move by not going on that show as a regular...you have done enough damage.

I will give you credit.... going after the "never professionally traded" market is a wise move. Odds are people in the business wouldnt really be interested in a story they have seen over and over.

Is "warrior" a code word for "cocky douchebag with a horribly underperforming retail account masquerading as a hedge fund"?

Are you asking me to answer that????

LoL

i'm willing to bet timmmay has placed more trades in the microcap market than anyone commenting on this thread thus far.

by the way, the audience for the book is not "professional institutional trader types" although the hedgees, I know, who read the book, enjoyed it very much.

....and that means what?

Since when does "total trades in the micro cap market" = Successful trader?

= experienced trader--- with some lessons to impart.

livermore blew his brains out--the ultimate loser--- although he is still revered by traders.....

timmmmay has had 1.5-2 poor performing years, hardly a drop in the bucket, over a trading lifetime.

I know dozens of traders who have a shitload more experience than your boy Timmy.

Should we all write books (or should we leave that to failed traders trying to get a snake oil racket going due to a 6 year old "audited return")?
