Quote from Reaver:

What kind of stuff were you looking to talk about? Flowers? Checkers?

Looking to cut through all the BS associated with stock pickers, gurus, the financial press--trying to show people the realities, both good and bad, of the marketplace. And, I'm gonna do this all in an entertaining way. To show how meaningless it is when an 'expert' gives their opinion about any stock, I created my own stock rating system, based on how many shots I need to take to make a stock look attractive. Me and this CEO got hammered...Clip should be up soon..

As much as I wish you would die soon- the shot thing is pretty funny

'based on how many shots I need to take to make a stock look attractive"

Pat Byrne must be an alcoholic.

Quote from Pekelo:

Picking a hedge fund to invest in is pretty much like picking a stock. Timing is everything.

Again, timing is everything....

P.S.: I bet Briggs' book provides much more info about the American hedge fund industry than Tim's, but this is just an educated guess....

agree.

sure biggs book has more info on the industry, TS's book is about a start up, starting from scratch---totally different topics.

Actually, Briggs book also addresses the difficulty of rising money and they had much longer record and better connections than Tim....

And seriously, what can Tim tell us about rising money, except that he was unable to do it???

Probably not too much about raising/making money...

but he said it will be entertaining and educating so...

Maybe something that chronicles his affair with Jessie Jackson or being addicted to meth and how it affected his fund, or how he cleverly disguised his funneling money to radical Islamist groups as a drawdown....

hmmm...

But we don\'t know...the full story will be revealed soon.

The suspense is killing me....

My guess is that Timmay's book will be a "I could not make a buck, therefore everything is rigged; so you cannot make a buck either, stay away, very very far away. At the end he promises to never manage money again...."

Whine and cheese 24/7...

What else can he possible offer? Quick! Somebody tell me I am wrong....

yes, but still totally totally different.

tim is a trader trying to start/run a hedge fund, much like many people here. isnt/wasn't connected with the machine like biggs is--- tim's book is entertaining and contains tons of info for the little guy starting out. you wont be able to do it in biggs style, however you may be able to pull it off timmmay style.

i reccomend both these books for a full perspective.

Of course, the other possibility is that Timmay, will promise to teach MarketSuffer how to write a 'love me I can't trade' book in exchange for trading lessons from Surfer!
