Will they please stop publishing great books!

Quote from Banjo:

There is much flatulance here, perhaps that is what is being sniffed out. I am an recognized expert on flatulance and plan to someday write a book. I think I'll do it with scratch and sniff augmentation. I may even write a how to book about properly scratching and sniffing. Hmmm, some interviews may be in order for this project.

A fox smells its own hole is what they say.

Quote from Larr G Wang:

What you are saying [with reference to your "scientific method"] is that you have merely learned to apply a loose set of practical rules to gain leverage on the complexity of the subject matter.

(For the simple reason you have no true comprehension of the subject in first place)

Don't confuse your "scientific" approach with specific insight in the subject matter. It's not the same thing..

No, that is not what I am saying at all and I have lost interest in explaning it to you.

Back on topic:

For those that have ADD/ADHD/etc, which seems to be prevalent by people who frequent this website, here is a book from someone who is sure he had/has it, was a terrible student, and went on to found Kinkos:

"Copy This! : Lessons from a Hyperactive Dyslexic who Turned a Bright Idea Into One of America's Best Companies"

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...=books&n=507846

Really interesting story...

You apply true scientific method to the subject matter you read in books to gain insight into the validity of the assertions?

How do you do this with particle physics? Or economics? Nutrition?

Lol Yes, that one of the more absurd claims I've read on a message board recently.

I just spent another $100 on books.

I am going to go broke if they keep publishing books I want to read :mad:

Seriously, this is the golden age of the transfer of information of those that know and want to tell to those that don't know and want to know.

Bought Samson Coslow old book this year;
got it used,pages are turning tan from age/maturity.:cool:

And its a bit unusual because like Maria said most trading books are suspect;
but still like to read & reread Jack Schwager/Michael Marcus.

And like your question on creation asks,Nitro;
M Marcus/Schwager has a good point concerning
''Fiddler on the Roof''
