will the real Swiss-Americans please stand up? My great grandfather was the youngest son in a large Swiss farming family. Not a good deal. Because in those days the farm went to the oldest son. The old farmhouse is still there and descendents are still living there. It's pretty cool, there is a door in the kitchen that goes right out into the barn so the women folk can go out and get fresh laid eggs anytime they want.
My other great grandfather was Welsh, and they liked drinking and playing music more than working.
Both of them came to this country with basically nothing.
Now a days, a third of my family is Black African who's only learned language was French, about a quarter are moslem, About a full half left Austria just in time and are Jewish, and of those about half live in Israel and speak Hebrew, and the other half are cutthroat slum lords and speak no Hebrew, just English and a little Yiddish.
anyway, someone should stand up, I'm tired of being the only true American
