I think Russia has capability to invade Ukraine, but could it hold on to it? Ukraine is a big country, other countries wouldn't want to return to the old Soviet's regime, then they'd support Ukraine to wage the guerilla war with Russia. Ukraine could become Russia's Afghanistan 2.

It is ironic. As I am composing this post, I hear a military jet flying east out over the ocean from the Boston area.
