Will Putin be overthrown if oil keeps going?

What do you guys think, does Putin get eliminated if oil goes much further?

Im not real big on conspiracy theories but it seems like an awfully good way to take out Putin by tanking the price of oil.

Problem is the plan is too efficient no way the bozos we have running the government could even think of something like that. They would probably vote to give him more foreign aid or something like that. Obama would probably bring him a couple pallets of U.S, dollars if putin quits making him look like such a little bitch.

who is going to overthrow him?
more likely the rich elites will just ask/tell him to step down
but before that, he will just fire everybody in the government and claim it was their fault

You think the KGB is going to "ask" him to step down? lol. If it does happen i have a feeling its going to be a pretty one sided conversation, step down or die.

I believe Putin will be taken out (if he is taken out) by the falling ruble - not directly from the oil prices. There are other oil-rich nations whose currencies have not gone into free-fall like the ruble. Russia has more problems than merely falling oil prices.

However I will note that Putin is a hard-nosed survivor- it is very likely he will not go anywhere even as the Russian economy falls into complete default.

Russians are just like us, they want shoes and t shirts and iphones, and those are going to get expensive

I just heard today apple has suspended sales in russia

It's more likely this will make him more dangerous. I mean, if the Russian economy has been destroyed, he really doesn't have a whole lot to lose, does he?

I see a deal with the europeans on Ukraine as likely. Don't forget, the Ukraine government is basically demanding $17 billion from europe. The EC has put them off, demanding reforms. Sooner or later, it wil cost the EC a lot of money if they keep this up. Of course, the Ukrainian economy is in even worse shape than Russia's.

Basically, this has turned into a clusterfuck for all involved, but if the price of oil recovers, Russia will not be hurting that much. The more they need oil up, the greater the risk they do something destabilizing in the ME, possibly as a false flag type operation.

Remember the "our guy their guy" love fest with Putin? Remember when Obama's sanctions against Russia were "just a joke"? Or how about "debt load doesn't matter, debt as a percentage of GDP is irrelevant" (ask Putin if that's true)? So many rightie claims made, springing from ODS, all dissolved to nonsense. It's a goldmine.
