Quote from hapaboy:
Second, just because Obama said what he said about Jerusalem to CNN, does not mean that CNN posed the question as Mr. Elder wrote it:
Oh, okay, yes the "the" might have been an "and" and the font might have been different as all these news outlets asked the question. Some may even have not written it at all and asked verbally.
So you see, what is important here isn't that Obama made a generic statement about Jerusalem, but whether he was asked to clarify his position on it and if his response was a direct answer to that question.
Well he gave a direct interview to the Jerusalem Post, that was reprinted by the IHT, he was interviewed by CNN, he also gave a speech that of course it's up to them to decide.
I can't see why you'd be blurry about whether this has been covered in the MSM.
Or isn't it important to you that the AMERICAN MAINSTREAM MEDIA, which is the source of news for most Americans, ask a Presidential candidate these kinds of questions?
It is important to me. And they have. So that's a good thing.
Utter lunacy. You are implying that Petreaus is loyal to one man, Bush, and not his country.
Not at all, actually. But I'm fascinated to see where you run with this.
Have you forgotten that Petraues was confirmed by Congress, which has a Dem majority? Shinseki is not in command, Petraeus is.
Well coming back to the point, Generals do not set foreign policy.
Of course. But in military matters, the President relies on military experts for guidance to assist him in setting foreign policy. Get it? More importantly, why the fuck should Obama, a CANDIDATE, for Chrissakes, be able to dictate foreign policy?!?"
He wouldn't, until he had been elected. So, I agree. I can't see how he's dictating anything at this point -- unless you know of some withdrawal that the Republicans are doing that Obama dictated.
C'mon man, I know you're not stupid. Just admit BO is getting the velvet treatment from the American mainstream media.
Well I think they're mesmerized by him. Did you see the McCain photo-op while Obama was in Germany? It's worth watching to the end -- the end is priceless:

McCain needs MORE coverage, I say.
Any other softballs you want to throw me?
Umm... okay, what's the ETA on foreign policy expert McCain getting his Middle Eastern borders straight and also not referring to Czechoslovakia anymore? It hasn't existed for decades now. It's not like this is a one-off error, he keeps referring to Czechoslovakia.
