Will january effect work for 2009?

Funny we haven't heard a word about the fabled january effect since it imlies a negative 2009 finish which means a 20% correction coming. If it implied a positive year it would be hyped to the moon

The January effect predicts the past. As do many other simplistic beliefs about calendar effects on market behavior.
