I am running out of quarters for my bad language jar.
RN, I have always appreciated your ability to take seemingly complex topics and dumb/break 'em down to more solvable problems... Those interested in thinking and learning for themselves feel likewise. I'd go on but can feel the cages rattling.
Trading goes against human nature of predicting. Those that think PA trading is 'this bar causes this to happen' don't have a clue what's really going on and bastardize it. Suppose it has to be this way.

Thank you Redneck. Note, db and everyone. I don't mind the nuisance users because the contrast they provide to the effort I know is required to succeed is in itself a beautiful lesson that everyone including me has to learn until we have it embedded in our core. At least I have had success learning that from their antics.

Guys ...this thread is becoming RN vs others.. or even every person against other .....
I read the thread but usually do not have much time to respond back to each and every post....there are some very good discussion...like someone said..my stop loss is ridiculous.. which i accepted..and was thinking of keeping it very tight...
Turveyd has a very good trend trading system...and he is not afraid to post that online in his journal... experience joe...have some approach..and that's how he is able to collect 100 point profit..everyone have some thing to share..which i really appreciate..criticize as much you want other users method...no issues with that...but when that goes to personal level then it gets ugly....
I was not open to create my own journal..because of same reason...and now because of same thing...RN is not posting much on my thread...there are other good traders too..but do you think any sensible person will want to comment on public forum..forget about showing his system...i don't think so.... someone says he get paid..common guys...I am ready to pay few if you can teach me whats real business here..but do you think that anyone will ever want to show his real strategy for few bucks..and again if someone gives me his system..like Turveyd has given his system..DBPhinix have trend line based system...even if i see your system...but it should fit my personality ..my thinking etc..some system are very fast ..can take 100's of pip in small range...but they are not for me..i am not of that type...some big timeframe trend trading are very slow...and problem is if i pick your system and try to learn it and assume that i evolve as good trader ..then basically i am hard wiring your system in my brain..so i dont want to pick anything which i can learn and later its hard to unlearn..if it does not work..already had a lot of crap..
and at the bottom of it..i dont think its any SYSTEM, its basically the "WHY" of trading ..i am more interested in knowing that...but you guys have some system which seems to work...someone says don't think about why it moves..but how can i put my money in there when i dont know what it will do next ...i am already get too much scarred when it goes against me...you would have seen my today's trade..i was positive..then came little bit draw-down..and i started panicking...and closed as soon possible..it will take long time to get framed as a trader...and if i dont support my trading with some belief that "WHY" price moves..then i really don't think i will ever trade...its just gambling then...and i dont want to gamble..i need some assurance that when i am buying at least i will not not be taken out immediately...and dont think that no one knows why it moves there are people who know...if dont believe read this thread..

I have already read it 10 times..still reading it...and RN is the only person who comes out shinning there...I was not even on this site..but came to know about that thread through internet and thats how i landed up on elite trader...it was around 5 years ago..
My belief is somewhere some one knows..that how everything works..and there is a reason for everything ...and its not only about trading but everything...we are ignorant or limited in our abilities to not see that....

I'm well aware of the fact that my approach is not for you. That's why I've never posted anything about it here. In fact, I never posted here at all until the hijacking got out of control. I've seen a lot of decent efforts get abandoned because people wander off into left field with irrelevant arguments and the journalist gets tired of it.
However, if this stuff doesn't bother you, kudos. (Though why this particular journal is such a magnet for these kinds of backroom brawls is a mystery to me.)

FWIW, my belief is that learning to trade is like learning to play an instrument or a sport. Need to learn the basic fundamentals and skillset then it's lot's and lot's of practice. Then if you want to make it to the pro's you're going to need to acquire the proper mental skills as well.

I have seen your journal, i used to read them,and i like them , got your reference only to show that everyone have some system which works for them.
and again, i really dont have anything against anyone, not even EJ or Turvyed, i actually like his system. and he is also trying to help me by posting what he does.
only issue is that when everyone goes against each other so eventually i lose...or a future newbie , who may be sitting on sideline , and may have some potential..
And i am also curios...why my journal got so much attention for this kind..may be the subject line "Will I ever get it" is causing it...
