Will Gay Marriage repudiation be next?

There are those who disagree with your assessment nitro... and some were on the Supreme Ct.

There is a tension between the Supremacy Clause and the Tenth amendment which withdrew a lot of subject matter from the federal govt.

Over time the court has eroded the 10th amendment but we know justices no longer seem to care about tradition, precedent and prior cases... freeing a future states rights activist court to wipe out the last 80 years of bad decisions and give back power to the States. Judicial activism is dangerous and cuts both ways.

here is a bit of a primer...

Well, IMHO I believe where this will all land is that if a gay couple wants to get married, there is 100% certainty that they can go to the County Courthouse in any State and get it done.

If, however, the gay couple would like to have a priest or minister or rabbi or imam do it in a religious ceremony, then it will be entirely up to the discretion of that religion or congregation or faith. I say that for two reasons: 1. separation of church and state, and 2. freedom of religion.

For now. That will be the next target for the gaystapo.

"...On this day in 1963, President John F. Kennedy issues presidential proclamation 3542, forcing Alabama Governor George Wallace to comply with federal court orders allowing two African-American students to register for the summer session at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The proclamation ordered Wallace and all persons acting in concert with him to cease and desist from obstructing justice...."

I hope these morons test their will and see what happens.

I say bring it fucking on.

I have read my Constitution in vain for the section that authorizes the president to issue proclamations directing state governors to carry out His Excellency's orders. Not that Obama has ever allowed something as trivial as the Constitution or laws get in his imperial way.

If he wants to send troops into the states to enforce a made-up constitutional right to gay marriage, let him. The House can impeach him, if they have the balls, and if they don't, that tells us we need some new people in there.

Be sure to post a picture of yourself and your gun facing down the USMC. You know a selfie...

Remember, on the Internet, everyone is a commando warrior able to bench press 400 lbs, rich, good looking, and with ten 36-24-36 wifes.

Hooyah

All of the major religions in the world have for millennia have held through dogma and rite that marriage unites a man and a woman.

It would be a public relations disaster of epic proportions for the LGBT community to force unwilling religious ceremonies through lawsuits and threats when they have 1. a civil alternative for a marriage ceremony at the county courthouse, and 2. some religious denominations ( Episcopalian and non-denominational churches for example ) willing to conduct the ceremony.

I can think of no faster way to a veto-proof Republican political monopoly in Washington, D.C. than for Democrats and the LGBT community to force and threaten and intimidate unwilling religious ceremonies when the same-sex couple have ready and legal alternatives to get married in any County Courthouse or certain willing places of worship. Tread lightly. 1. separation of church and state, and 2. freedom of religion.
