You use the terms ‘misinformation/disinformation’ as if there is a clearly defined framework for what is truth and what is fiction. Unfortunately, almost all the information we have comes from sources that no person should trust – in your own words ‘the same Covidiots that continue making the health crisis...Political.’


This is precisely what the admins have been trying to say. The rules keep changing, the information these Covidiots are pushing keeps changing…there is no standard so how can you expect a site like this to arbitrate on matters that have no clear boundaries to begin with?


You can boot off one annoying poster but you cannot control any of this when a large portion of your subscribers believe one thing and the other believes something else. Impossible. It’s a debate and we don’t need any more censorship when no one actually knows the truth. Most of the information being spun comes from politicians after all.


So my opinion is if you or anyone else has certain sensitivities and find the information offensive then have your say but please don’t labour the point. It doesn’t make you MORE right. And also, please stop trying to silence others who have an opinion not in line with yours.

They are suppressing the adverse effect results. Doctors and nurses have actually, died or got paralyzed by being vaccinated. Our ET trolls just blind as a bat idiots, follow what their master Fauci tells them. This is the guy who has lied multiple times including, not stating he was a former CEO of Moderna? GWB's wife works for one of the drug companies if I read correctly? No wonder this idiot keeps posting drivel about how safe the vaccines are and how it will enable us to resume our lives? As I've stated, you're welcome to your opinion but I do not agree with a few points while I agree with other issues you've mentioned. The other point I'm making...there's a problem with the TOU policy that's not being uniformly applied for the entire forum.

The other issue, there is censoring by ET management via the analogy the OP is trying to explain...why censor one area and not the other areas ???

Simply, if it's an eyesore in one place...why would it not be an eyesore in the other areas of the forum ???

Everything else you stated about the Pandemic...I do agree with because I do have a few science degrees and I've worked in the area for a few years while in the military before changing jobs sort'uv speak in the military.

Thus, I know how fast and often issues can change that requires adapting to accomplish the goal but I will always have an issue with those that post altered/doctored data / images / videos as misinformation or disinformation to support their opinion.

Yet, I'm fully aware that ET management try to manage the Political section with a hands off approach. Just the same, I'm fully aware that ET management has occasionally needed to get involved in the Political section to censor someone via a ban, message post deletion or thread closed.

Someone has mentioned that if everyone gets vaccinated that it will end the pandemic. But what about the fact that being vaccinated does not stop one from coming down with Covid-19 and spreading it to others vaccinated or not?

I now know quite a few people who have had Covid-19. Both vaccinated and not vaccinated. I don't know anyone who has had a serious case of Covid-19 and hopefully never do.

It's like you're not even try. You're just phoning it in at this point.

I think I've been fair in this debate, to the small extent I've participated.
I've admitted that I think the problem is not easily solved, and is above my paygrade.

That said, I've posted how Twitter and Facebook go about the whole rules/censoring thing; and now I am motivated to address another common buzz phrase we hear on this site, and in the news:

Solving this one is so simple and well within my paygrade.

FOLLOW THE CURRENT RULES.

If they change, start following the new rules.

Who expects rules to never change?
Name a few things where the rules have never changed?

Rules all over the world change regularly, and nobody gets stumped or confused by the change.

How we refer to minority groups has changed.
What's an acceptable sports team mascot has changed.
New laws go on the books every year.
NFL rules may change.
MLB rules may change.
Traffic rules may change.
Criminal punishments may change.
...
etc.
etc.
etc.
CDC rules/recommendations may change.

The CDC has done a fine job over the decades keeping us safer. They are not perfect; no one or agency is. But they, as a federal agency, with federal funding, with access to academia and experts, are certainly better equipped to give pandemic advice than some spotify podcaster; or some lone wolf outlier doctor. It's really a silly comparison.
