Vaccinating primary school children is premature, Britain’s top paediatric body has said, after it emerged those as young as five could be offered the Covid jab next spring.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) on Saturday night called for better real-world evidence of the risks to the heart before widening the rollout further.

It came after leaked NHS documents revealed provisional plans to offer the vaccine to children aged five to 11 in the first half of 2022.

Young children face a miniscule risk of serious disease from Covid-19 itself. A recent study showed only six healthy children have died from the virus in England

Someone has mentioned that if everyone gets vaccinated that it will end the pandemic. But what about the fact that being vaccinated does not stop one from coming down with Covid-19 and spreading it to others vaccinated or not?

I now know quite a few people who have had Covid-19. Both vaccinated and not vaccinated. I don't know anyone who has had a serious case of Covid-19 and hopefully never do.

Frederick has expressed his opinion (ad nauseum) and the admin have responded in a clear and concise way.

However, Frederick is now acting woke and childish because he's not getting his way. HIs argument has been smashed to pieces yet he keeps coming back with egg on his face lol.

Actually, prior to this thread...ET management has responded the way the OP wanted on other issues involving specific people that have been eyesores to the forum.

I think the OP wants more consistency involving other issues such as the issue in this thread involving misinformation/disinformation about Pandemic/Vaccines along the lines of what other social media platforms are doing.

In contrast, the other issues I don't have much interest in but I do have interest in the issues involving misinformation/disinformation that's consistently (very obvious) being posted about Covid and Vaccines...
  • By the same Covidiots that continue making the health crisis...Political.
Thus, one thing is very clear as it's been since the beginning of the Pandemic, misinformation/disinformation will continue to be allowed in certain locations of the forum, TOU policy will not be updated to address this issue in a Pandemic...

Strangely, it is dealt with when it's posted outside of the Political / Chit Chat threads, and that in itself implies there is in fact a problem.

As you can see in the below terms...there's nothing in the TOU policy about misinformation/disinformation being posted outside of the Political / Chit Chat threads even though I've seen censoring when such has occurred outside of the Political / Chit Chat section via bans, message post deletions, threads closed, or threads moved but its OK for such to be posted in the Political / Chit Chat threads.
Simply, why allow it to be posted in one location and not allow it in the other location ???
  • The OP made the analogy about why would a business allow racists to use the basement but not allow them to use other areas of the business. I think he made that analogy about the misinformation/disinformation about vaccines...why allow it in the basement and not allow it in the other areas of the business ???
Thus, I think the OP believes it shouldn't be allowed at all (nowhere on the site) and I agree with him but only because we're in the middle of a Pandemic.

That's the reason why I believe there lacks consistency in the moderation of the misinformation/disinformation involving vaccines and it's not even mentioned in the above terms while we're in the middle of a Pandemic.
  • Seriously, when members are posting altered/doctored videos along with making libelous statements specifically to certain individuals about vaccines...there's a problem that opens a can of worms there...it should not be allowed anywhere at the forum...not during a Pandemic.
Therefore, the issue will always remain with others because it in my opinion has not been addressed even though you're welcome to your opinion that it's been smashed to pieces.

With that said, the OP and others (myself) have expressed our opinion here in the Feedback section as this section is designed for such and so has ET management...I'm now moving on to other threads.
