Will Duck Dynasty Be The Tipping Point Of PC?

Religion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Putin

Though his father was a "militant atheist",[312] Putin's mother "was a devoted Orthodox believer". Though she kept no icons at home, she attended church regularly, despite the government's persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church at that time. She ensured that Putin was secretly christened as a baby and she regularly took him to services. His father knew of this but turned a blind eye.[311]
According to Putin's own statements, his religious awakening followed the serious car crash of his wife in 1993, and was deepened by a life-threatening fire that burned down their dacha in August 1996.[312] Right before an official visit to Israel his mother gave him his baptismal cross telling him to get it blessed "I did as she said and then put the cross around my neck. I have never taken it off since."[311] When asked whether he believes in God during his interview with Time, he responded saying: "...There are things I believe, which should not in my position, at least, be shared with the public at large for everybody's consumption because that would look like self-advertising or a political striptease."[313]

He has a new wife. He divorced/got rid of the previous one. You are behind time.

In relation to religion, I do not think you are a christian even if you think you are. I can tell you why.

"Its absolute bullshit of you to think you can put down religion making claims that gays do not have a choice."

Oh yes I can. I just did. Update your philosophy by two thousand years and I'll start listening.

People may not tell it to you when they talk to you face to face, but anyone I know told me they think they are liars and really need help.

Why don't you enter the religion that would help you have a happy and fulfilling life? There is no point following theories created by mortal people, who eat and use restrooms just like you do, and are scared of the world after death. Do not be impressed by the words of fast talkers on a stage. When the moment will come, he will say 'Please help me god" because he will feel his soul making the exist.

At that moment, by god, the previous fast talker, will mean God the creator, the powerful, the savior, etc. It will not be the the guy with the white beard like santa, or the baby god you see in paintings, or Jesus who could not help himself being nailed by a bunch of criminals from his own tribe. Those are not the real god. The real god has his signs all over. His signs are even within your soul.

I am almost certain you will regret not believing earlier.

There is no doubt that this world has a creator. The question is how to get closer to him in the right way.

You might change your views as soon as you read this: his wife is muslim! Muslim women, like jewish women, marry only among their own. I wonder which will prevail: your apparent dislike of muslims or your apparent liking of communist and tug Putin.

I don't "dislike" muslims. There is probably more common ground between them and conservatives than between conservatives and far left radicals like Obama.

Unfortunately, a combination of muslim expansionism and our own interventionist foreign policies have created a situation where a significant part of the muslim world has been radicalized and wishes harm on the US.

In addition, we are a Christian country. Having any large, aggressive religious minority weakens us and creates a fault line for future conflict.

The combination of these factors leads me to believe we should limit muslim immigration to something close to zero.

Quote from kut2k2:

• Phil said Black Americans were happier before civil rights. Yeah cuz all folks just love having their rights denied once they get used to it.

As a black male, I can see his point on that. Before the civil rights movement, which was nothing more than a ploy for the KKK-Democrats to pretend to care for blacks, the black community didn't have the problems that it has today. After blacks turned liberal, things have been on a downward spiral ever since. After signing the Civil Rights act, Dem. President Lyndon B. Johnson said, "I'll have those n*****r" voting Democrat for the next 200 years."

I don't know is that is what he's talking about, but if so, I agree with him. BUT....I don't agree with the deprivation of rights that occurred before then, of course.

Wow. Where to start.

Obama is not a far left radical and is quite the centrist.

The US is NOT a Christian nation.

Yes, Islam and the far right are similar in that they both are fucked-up.

This country is great partly because it is a melting pot of all types. To limit or bar a particular race or religion is counter to our principles.

You are right here though "Unfortunately, a combination of muslim expansionism and our own interventionist foreign policies have created a situation where a significant part of the muslim world has been radicalized and wishes harm on the US. "

Bullshit lie of the day, he's about as far left as one can get, not his words his actions

The US is NOT a Christian nation.

Maybe not as much today, but it was founded as such and the farther we stray from our Christian foundations the worse the country becomes. I believe the national motto, established by congress is still "In God We Trust" See leftist agendas for the reasons for decline.

Yes, Islam and the far right are similar in that they both are fucked-up.

Islam and Christianity are polar opposites.

This country is great partly because it is a melting pot of all types. To limit or bar a particular race or religion is counter to our principles.

This country was great in the melting pot scenario in times past, peoples immigrating to this country saw an opportunity for advancement based on unfettered self work, while retaining their ethnic roots they saw themselves as "Americans." Contrast that to today, most coming here want to keep and be recognized in their ethnic individualism at the expense of others. There's no melting, only fragmentation.

I'm sure blacks faced many problems in the '50s and before, but they also had a strong culture of intact families. Many prominent blacks went to all black schools, which prided themselves on high achievement. Black economist Walter Williams has written extensively about this.

If the KKK had been placed in charge of civil rights, welfare and education policy, they could hardly have produced worse results for blacks on the whole than the enlightened policies of liberals have. Blacks now have chronic levels of social dysfunction. Their education results are horrific. Worse, they seem to be in a downward spiral, with violence and anti-social behavior seen as normal.

Sounds like my impression of LBJ. I once heard a story about him and our involvement in Vietnam. I don't recall whether it was about "getting more involved and going to war", or stepping up some sort of offensive effort... but the story is, ....LBJ says in a (cabinet?) meeting... "Do you know why we're ________ (stepping up, going to war, or whatever it was)? Because of THIS!"... as he opened his fly, pulled out his dick and pointed to it.

Another reason why LBJ is on my list of worst presidents.

America has a penchant for electing SHITTY presidents/leaders, don't we?
