Chinese homebuyers and Chinese businesses are starting to flood into the Motor City, and the governor of Michigan is greatly encouraging this.

Surely the Govt. should have stepped in long before Detroit was bankrupted by slimey politicians and useless business people.

imho the Govt. is much too lenient on failure. Bring back Alcatraz and stop behaving like jellies.

What other huge country that is bordering China does it remind you of? Perhaps they don't lobby, they go the invading route...

What sad times of a once great city.
Is it a one off example of incompetence ? Let's hope so or other cities may take the same route to the bottom.
Those responsible should be heavily fined even if it is discourage others in the future.
Public responsibilities should be taken seriously.
New York was pulled back from the brink of disaster so it can be saved.

Apparently the mainly white middle class voted with their feet and money and left.

They're buying Detroit because it's a cheap way to get into the US.

The Chinese don't suffer the same "anal PC" we Americans do. They will "take care of business" and rid themselves and their area of whomever is necessary.
