These people, like Coulter, Hannity, Rush, and O'Reilly are not professional comedians, they pass themselves off as serious journalists.

Take a guy like Bill Mahr or Jon Stewart, stand up comedians right from the get go, and everyone know it is from a comedy angle, not necessarily a journalistic angle.

The acid test of course is to say the same things Ann says, but change the wording from liberal to conservative, and then honestly say if you find it witty...

As to your acid test, the butt of a joke rarely finds it funny. It just so happens that with Ann, you sir, are the butt.
