Wildchild in on Boeing

Snapped a small 50K position.

New management
Bad news priced in
Strong technicals

Not required, but talk of collaboration with Elon. If this occurs will be huge.

Strong technicals? It's been in a long term downtrend. A bit of movement yesterday.

You're obviously looking at pure News fundamentals.
Bottom fishing isn't normally advised for mere Retail Traders.

Clubber made a most noteworthy observation.

I wouldn’t own BA at any price

God forbid there is another crash you wake up to a down 50% or more stock price.
Then with the manufacturing shutdowns and lawsuits it might be better for BA to just declare BK and start over.

To your credit, it seems like a no-brainer down here. However, someone asked my about it the other day, coming from the same mindset as you, and my question was this this. Where were the whales stepping in to buy the dip? It was $196 on July 31.

Shouldn't $167 be the buy of a lifetime?

It's little things like that....

Not saying you're wrong... but that's what I told my bud. Fwiw.

EDIT:

And one more "fwiw" comment... my experience has shown me that when something screams "no-brainer"... don't walk... run.

Again.... I hope you're right, but I'm just sayin'....

New management. That's interesting. Who's the management? What's his/her background and track record? How effective is he/she in implementing changes? This is what I would be looking at if I want to give Boeing another chance in investing in its stock.

Boeing needs a policy change, fast. What it's done is just ridiculous that it had to take multiple congressional hearings to find out just how bad things were. If it doesn't improve, very soon it's going to be gone because China is building commercial airplanes themselves and building them cheap.

China can't build a f'ing can-opener that works more than once.

EXACTLY!!! That's why it's using western suppliers to build its most important components like engines and wings. That's what I wanted to say in my original comment but forgot.

Did you hear about the first commercial Xi-An passenger jet they sent to the Arizona bone-yard in in 2037?

-->They dead-headed the crew back home in a B727.

Boeing is a crappy company. All management should have been fired after the MAX problems back in 2018. They simply don't take any of their problems seriously. They act like the TBTF banks in 2008.

I wouldn't buy their stock but if the technicals are washed out I might buy some 6 month DOTM calls.
