wikileaks is funded by grassroots commoners...it needs money mainly for servers. however, due to governments shutting down their corporate server providers, they have resorted to having private servers in people's homes all over the world help host the mirrored sites. this will cut down their expenses a lot.
regarding the sex charges, it's basically a law in sweden that says you cannot have unprotected sex with someone (as in no condom) if you did not test for STDs. it's not an actual rape charge as one would normally apply the term. it's very convenient how most american media (if not all) have not bothered to elaborate on the nature of the accusation and instead use the word "rape."
the remaining files have been downloaded and backed up in tens if not hundreds of thousands of people's computers. in case anything happens to Assange or Wikileaks that's fatal to either, a master code will be released that will allow that information to be decoded to released accordingly.
with regards to peoples names and identities: wikileaks has always changed/omitted names when they felt it might endanger their lives. identities are protected and information is released in a responsible way. according to them, nobody has been hurt or killed as a result of the release of that information.
and yes other people have also suggested that Assange be considered for the Peace prize...

I am all for uncovering corruption but this is not about corruption anymore. This is about disseminating information which was stolen with the sole purpose to make the US look bad to the world.
