Widescreen vs Standard LCD Monitors

Looking to purchase monitors for a new trading computer. Was wondering which you prefer for charting/trading. Not into gaming, just for trading and some net browsing. Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Widescreen UXGA is very nice. Wide SXGA is no big deal.

BEST = Wide UXGA... 2560x1600 & 1920x1200

Next = Conventional UXGA, 1600x1200

Average = SXGA, 1650x1080 (wide) or 1280x1024 (conventional 5:4)

If you want 4 charts on the same screen then fullscreen is probably better. Widescreen divided into 4 equal charts is too long and thin. It all depends how you plan to organise your screen.

Quote from dandxg:

I don't like widescreen. I would only give it another try on a 22" or higher. I love my standard 19's.

BTW... 22" has approximately the same vertical as 19" 5:4.

They are not as popular as standard, therefore you get the same quality for less.

Then again, they are not as popular for a reason.
