Why you should Prep

Quote from CaptainObvious:

Our archaic grid system may fail on it's own. Cyber attacks are a real threat as well. Bio/Chem, there will be survivors and it will be ugly.

America pulls together? You're not serious. We'll go primal and we'll go right quick.

Natural selection/survival of the fittest will be the order of the day.

A grid failure, caused by a natural disaster or solar storm. Natural disaster fallout. A dollar collapse. Regional war that interrupts global trade/energy shipping. EMP terrorist attack, local or regional, that wipes out the grid/banking/computer networks/cars. Apparently, there's 3 days worth of food in the supply chain.

What is more likely than the nuclear EMP terror bio anthrax attack crazo scenarios is that USA economy undergoes the Japan experience with it's 3rd decade of recession, with real wages falling, lower purchasing power and an overall standard of living.

Quote from RCG Trader:

3. Terrorist attacks, have no ability to bring down the national grid.

Let's try this one more time.

Quote from wjk:

So are the stories I'm hearing out of the current administration about the possibility of a grid take-down by cyber attack just scare tactics?

I think this is the primary difference between the liberal mind and the conservative mind. This is the distillation of the difference in views. Of course, you will be wrong again, but that is a good thing, no?

Of course they are. Fear is a primal emotion, and the less mental development a population has, the more susceptible they are to it.

Think Greece. Not Japan. Google net creditor versus net debtor.

This will happen, but it will not be the end of the world, a new generation will grow up in the austerity and life will go on.
