Why would the Russians want Trump to beat Hillary in the first place?

This is the question that needs to be asked. Lets look at the facts. Putin had been pushing Obama around for 8 years. The Russians were invading countries and Obama did nothing about it. Putin was arming Assad and Obama did not about it. The all time bone head incident came when Obama draw his phony redline in Syria and Putin came in and took the situation over. It was a national embarrassment. Obama was trying to get the missile shield removed from Europe also. Putin spent 8 years slapping Obama around and Obama did nothing about it.

Then you had Hillary who was out to follow in Obama's footprints. She had a huge embarrassment with her 'Russian Reset'. With Hillary, Putin was going to get more of the same. Putin was savoring the chance to push Hillary around just like he did Obama.

Why would Putin want Trump to win instead of the pushover Hillary? It makes no sense.
 
This may be no more complicated than Trump is the Russian Mafia's business partner. Mafia money bailed him out of his most serious bankruptcy and he has been doing business with the Russian Mafia ever since by helping them launder many millions. What I wonder is whether Trump reported all these short term capital gains accurately on his tax returns.

My source is NPR but Maddow would undoubtedly have access to the same information. Of course there is no honor among thieves. If Flynn was at risk for Blackmail, Trump is doubly so.
