I pay $5500 per month for Aspen Graphics, Reuters News, Brokertec, Cantor E-Speed, CME/CBOT/EUREX/EuroNext Licenses, and of course my beloved Bloomberg. I must be an idiot. I should be getting this stuff for free. I'm looking for a wall to run my head into.

Now I feel better for "only" paying $600+/month for CQG. (It used to be more, but now I only get the CME).

Seriously, I don't know how people can trade with the crap platforms they use. In various chatrooms, I hear people talk about data delays, feeds going down, bad ticks, etc. all day long. And what's with IB? They're horrible! I'm constantly reading about them going down and people still use them just to save a buck or two.

Talk about penny wise and pound foolish.

I guess what i'm saying is if you just need fast quotes and good charting the other stuff would be a foolish investment.

There are decent firms that offer this, but people are willing to pay for products not knowing what's out there.
