Military conscription for men. They can purchase a SIG 551 at a reduced rate. Something over 50% of single family dwellings have at least one firearm. The firearm in question is a Swiss-made, AK-style 5.56 NATO rifle.
Then enforce the law for heaven's sake. Instead of making it easier for them to obtain weapons breathe down their necks with all the force the government has at its disposal. My car was not intended or created to kill. A gun always was, is, and will have such intention. False equivalency. Keep the guns available that have the clear intent to be used for hunting.
My argument is that rifles used for hunting and guns in the control of law enforcement do perfectly fine in almost every other place around the world. Why would it not do fine in the US. The enforcement of the law is the problem here not that citizens without guns all of a sudden will be overturned, tortured, and tickled to death by a rogue government.

Then choose a different profession I can would say. And yes, pay police officers better.
