Can you back that with stats? I bet a lot of very successful investors and traders, probably a lot more successful than any of us here, would disagree.

2 days of draw down is absolutely nothing in the long run.

In any position, you could easily be down 10-15% but, if you see in the stockcharts that the stock is pulling back, in a long term uptrend, you just sit it out. When it runs back up and sets new highs, it will blow thru your losses and put you in the black. One of the dumbest thing to do when trading is to panic just because the stock is pulling back which is normal. Even in the strongest trending stocks, there will be pullbacks and if you bailout just before it runs up huge, again, you missed out--just because you got scared.

I stopped losing when I start recovering drawdown losses within 1 to 2 days Max. Staying in drawdown for longer than 2 days is stupid for my style of manual discretionary trading and my personal trading goals I have planned for myself. .

Correction for all readers of this post. I am Sorry, I should have pointed out in context for how I trade, not everyone else or in general traders.

Take a look at your history.
What is the reason behind most of your loses?
Have stopped it or you're still losing due to the same reason?

Lol,

1. If you are careless, you will lose money

2. If you are unlucky, you will lose money

3. If you are lucky but have high transaction costs, you will lose money

4. if you are lucky, but careless with execution, you will lose money.

6. if you are lucky and still miss your big winner, you will lose money

7. If you are lucky, i can still name 100 other reasons where you will lose money regardless.

9. Damn, in this game you need not only to be lucky but also well prepared, have a plan and still, you need every star to align perfectly in your favour to be able to make any money in rhe long term.
