Why was the OPG strategy only done on NYSE?

Ok Thanks. The presence of the specialist explains the little edge. But if you find a valid strategy on NASDAQ opening prints, is it possible to obtain those prints? Is there a real auction for NASDAQ? I know I can check on the exchange website but I was hoping some people would have tried it as well and relate their experience.

What about ARCA?

NASDAQ auction happens without delay, unlike NYSE. And the opening print you see with websites/brokers is the one you'd get 99.99% of the time. Other than that, there aren't significant differences.

NYSE ARCA is not an exchange, it is an ECN. There are no listed companies on NYSE ARCA. You should contact IB to find out what happens if you route there for the open or close.

Not quite, ARCA has many ETFs listed and their primary auctions happen on ARCA as well.
You can route elsewhere for auctions as well, for example NASDAQ has auctions for NYSE and ARCA listings.

You might be right, but I would check with the NYSE before I send in a MOO order to NYSE ARCA.
