Why was insider trading banned ?

The future for ET is dim. I cannot compare the content today to several years ago.

I visit ET less and less every month. I mainly just come to check my PMs with some real traders that have 50 posts or less after 3 years of membership. Those guys are authentic. Other members, even like me, post for entertainment value.

It's sad, but I'll probably ditch this site very shortly. I actually am a so called "professional" trader too so its unfortunate. Content here is diminishing. I would be willing to bet that 90% of members do not even trade accounts over $25,000 lol... what a joke.

Also, I'm a younger guy, but when I mention ET to my trading desk, the older guys who are making the nice $ have no idea what ET is.
 
This is interesting. I actually came all the way the hell down here to ask a very simple question.
It's actually a serious question, if a bit over the top: is this a front for a hate group somewhere?
I ask because quite literally out of the clear blue sky, a perfectly normal (OK, what passes for normal) thread in Economics got hijacked by Momo/phox and Nattdog, discussing, in all seriousness, the relative distributions of genetic markers among Scandinavians.
This is pure Nazi genetic garbage, yet it seems to be taken completely for granted around here. Between this weirdness, the offhand racist remarks made towards any group that isn't white and Christian, the offhand anti-Semitic remarks that pop up with absolutely predictable regularity in the Fed-related threads, and the truly crazy number of members with some form of '88' in their names - some are explicit, some put a figleaf of some sort on it - I really do wonder.
Also, can I assume FeenixRizin, Topper, Vista, and drjekyllus are still members, despite the fact that the first on that list threatened to quite literally tear me apart, and the others on that list just went on conversing with him as if this were a perfectly normal thing?
Can I assume I haven't seen Pa(b)st Prime around here not because he's been banned, but because he stopped coming, despite his explicit threat to my life?
If this place is just a front, let me know, and I'll go bye bye. If I get no answer, I'll assume the worst and say sayonara regardless. My patience is at an end.

All the reason why no religion related forum needs to exist on ET. Politics with substance deserves to be in Econ or the Wall Street thread...any religion related post should be erased.

Religion has nothing to do with trading.

And 2nd of all, in case you didn't notice, you were agreeing with a person who can only politely be described as a xenophobe, and after agreeing, went on into this genetic stuff.
Genetics is used for health, and for studying links between peoples in a neutral way - in this case, for instance, your genetic map, assuming for the sake of this argument its accuracy, would be a decent piece of evidence for arguing that the Magyars are related to the Turks rather than the Finns. You and Nazzdack were obviously using it to decide that the genetics of the Scandinavians made them somehow behaviorally different from everyone else, which is an abuse of genetics that is common on sites like Stormfront.
So, you are both ignorant and stupid. Also, you're on ignore, so don't bother answering. This is as much time as I have to waste on idiots like you.

Creating a topic area like P&R helps to keep it off other threads.

It is more incorrect for one person to decide that certain topic areas should not be on ET. And having various topic areas help attract and keep individuals here.

You don't want to read it, then don't read it.
