Why Trump may drop out of the race soon

I actually think that Trump should never have run as a Republican, and instead should run as an independent. I agree that he may drop out for the reasons the article gives, but the go home part is patently wrong. He will just run as an Independent, and all the voters he got in the primaries will still vote for him in the general.

I predict four people running for the General - Gary Johnson (I), Donald Trump (I), Hillary Clinton (D), and Paul Ryan(R)!

In fact, The Bern supporters wish he would run as an independent. That won't happen because it is too risky. Party politics is hopelessly broken.

Is this the media/establishment reaching the Bargaining stage of grief with Trump? There is no way to keep him from the nomination, so lets talk ourselves into a belief that he will step aside.

I still wonder that he wants the job. He's got money, women, all the leisure time he could want, total freedom of travel, and he wants to take a job with high stress, high time pressure, and constant constraint. You can't say he's got politics in his blood, not by birth, and based on the things he says it's clear he has spent none of his life studying history, politics, psychology, philosophy, statecraft, warfare, etc., what you would call acquiring an interest, as you would expect a "natural" or "my calling" statesman to do. His economic plan is laughable, and that includes analysts on the right. You could say he "truly cares" and wants to do something. I could say I truly care and want to perform surgery. But in that example neither one of us has the skills to do those things we merely care about. Interest does not guarantee commitment.

Absolutely correct. Lucky for us we will be operated on by a person with multiple malpractice suits, has been proven time and again to be grossly incompetent, and is considered by many, repubs and dems alike, to be criminally negligent, but she did study close to her doctor husband. Whew, that was a close one.

Not feeling the screwing myself. The Clinton I years were good to me, and the Obama years have been, too. Admittedly the Bush II years weren't that bad, for me (they were awful for our foreign affairs). Anyway, I have no reason to fear Clinton II, but based on what Drumpf says about American business and trade I have a lot to worry about.
 
My wife and I were talking about this the other day. I don't think he ever thought he would get this far. If he did win, he would probably resign in the first year.

There are always good years depending on who you are and how you're positioned regardless of what numskull sits in the oval office. People fawn over Reagan like the 80's were some kind of Nirvana. For me most of the 80's were disastrous career wise. The 90's were fantastic. It stayed fantastic up until 2008 when I got gut punched in the twilight of my career. Ended up having to work longer than anticipated and for a hell of a lot less money.
Individually I suppose we can all come up with best of times, worst of times stories. On a larger scale I cannot see how anyone can say that the world is a safer place and America has played a large part in that going back decades over many administrations, both dem and repub. The financial rape of the general economy on a global scale can also be traced squarely to the the gangsters on Wall Street and our criminally corrupt congress. On the whole, the world is getting worse, not better.
