Why trend trading does not work?

We model and trade for freshly developed trends that show some confirmation, hit rate between 55-75% depending on the client - some are much more selective than others.

I have a client who went live on March 01, 2011 with a $25K account. He has returned 45% net on that as of June 24. In four months, on a net basis, he has over $36K in his account. Advantage Futures clearing, CTS front end, eSignal running my models, those expenses deducted from the account. Non-Member rates.

"Market rewards adaptability". It also penalizes adaptability --- the guy who buys at the top and sells at the bottom is also adaptable! How about this statement instead "lack of adaptability is not rewarded in markets"?

Forest Gump, is that you?

Trend trading and spreads can be a bad mix, if they follow what the math says they would follow.

Oh, this is rich. Please favor us with said 'math'.

Spreaders: how are you positioned after the job's report?

What is it that is relatively weak, and what is it that is relatively strong?

Is this a preview of your math skills and knowledge of spread trading ?

What is your cash offer (assuming you speak that language)? If you do not agree with the question, you would then feel what other might feel when reading the coloured lines.

No. It is what a couple of hours of derivations told me on the day I started that thread, and which, by the appearance of things, people with who assumingly have ___ years of spread trading do not appear to grasp.
