I don't know anyone, or anyone who knows anyone, that would vote for Trump. But then again, my circle is composed of educated intelligent successful people.
Believe it or not, I've actually considered voting for him a couple of times since his run began. Why? Well, because he's got some sensibility, at times. He doesn't speak from a teleprompter when he addresses issues, and sometimes that's refreshing.
He may idiotically say things like he plans to make "waterboarding" legal again, but if you asked some the old boys who are still alive who fought in WW2 what they did when they came across the Nazi SS, many would probably spare you the details, because they were too severe to discuss.
Now, we can judge all day long whether it was right or wrong for us to go into Iraq, or Vietnam, or Cambodia, or Germany or the west Pacific, or wherever, but at a certain point it becomes inevitable that some rather nasty business had to be taken care of, lest we be overhauled or ravaged by a mightier race.
I understand that somethings have to be done, and I can respect Trump's ability to speak from the hip and from the heart, but it soon becomes apparent that his maniacal ego and his wallet are in control of his destiny.
