why this board isn't healthy if you trade for a living

The most recent jack hershey success story:

Quote from guavaman:

No, your wrong. I've been informed several times that I have been provided all the information necessary to trade this method and make gobs of money. Yeah, I am all too aware that no one who has followed the JHM Journals has been able to apply this method to trade the market profitably, but it is clear as day to me that the reason for my abject failure here lies with the effort of the trader. It has to be. What else could it possibly be?

What can I say, I've never been a fast learner.

Failure-after-failure ... you just gotta love that! :p :D

Quote from Vienna:

But you- who actually is deluded enough to use the great Benoit Mandelbrot as a handle- are only an unemployed actor!

There's an old French expression: "An actress is more than a woman, and an actor is less than a man.".
This became clearly evident when you chickened out of your ‘trading competition” with proflogic or when you did not show up at the MS bash because- as you said- you “do not like environments you can’t control”. You prefer to talk big on the internet.

On top of it, you are not even an actor- you are a waiter/busboy, “trading” an infantile MA crossover system and living out your acting fantasies by creating this weird, stalking internet persona
You got "Maddoffed" by John Carter and have to see him continue to pimp his bullshit at every Expo and Seminar you attend while you don't have the guts to say or do anything about it ... bwahahahahaahah :D :D :D .

Time to paint a big, fat L on your forehead! :p

Kinda like you not having the guts to take Proflogic's challenge? Is this what you mean by not having guts LoL!!

:D :D :D

Quote from Trader666:

Vienna,

For people like you it is not necessary to change one's message:
You- Trader 666- are a sad dullard, a repetitive bore, the guy everybody edges away from at a party... you remind me of that Asian guy in Fargo.. the eternal geek....you post your examples of pathetic, mean spirited humor again and again... at the end of it, I just enjoy reading Jack Hershey because- unlike you- he is interesting.

You did not even understand his Swing system- which is actually quite simple- and were exposed for doing a completely incompetent back-test... since you are such a geek, to be found out at a programming error is the ultimate humiliation, hence you seem to have made it your life' mission to follow JH around, like a dull little dog on a leash…

Vienna, you're even more of an idiot than I'd originally thought. After digging deeper into your posts I see that despite you claiming John Carter had violated "risk control guidelines," you had no legal recourse. Which means you got what you signed up for in your contract. So my apologies to John Carter if anything I wrote implied he shared responsibility because the fault was all yours, Vienna. You're not just an idiot, you're a world class idiot. :p

In ScottD's last post on ET (March, 2009) he said Cashcow 1.2, which had been certified by Jack, was not consistently profitable.

Jack claims ScottD is still working on Cashcow but I asked ScottD for an update in May and still haven't heard back. :p

Quote from ScottD:

We’ve made substantial progress and this seems like a good time in the project to draft a summary of where we’ve been and where we’re heading.

Progress and milestones
• We started the Cashcow project in earnest on December 9, 2008.
• Jack and I have established rapport, clear communications, and an effective design-build process.
• We have codified a powerful set of logic, and Jack has certified each major release so far (1.0, 1.1, 1.2) as accurate.
• We created an ATS dashboard, which has turned out to be an efficient and effective analysis, diagnosis, and validation tool.
• We publically shared the baseline logic and code. Others, even antagonists, have taken the ideas and run with them, a beautiful thing.
• The “I deserve…” , “feed me…”, “it’s not possible [for me]…”, and the “I’ll take but not give…” types display their true colors and filter themselves out.
• We continue to share the latest ATS with a self-selected community of contributors from around the world.

Real world testing and performance
• We have been focused on deductive reasoning instead of curve fitting profits. Having said that, we did expect each release to be profitable.
• Each logic release has had some profitable days and flashes of brilliance, but the logic has not been profitable over a sustained multi-week forward test or multi-month back test period.
• Notwithstanding, I feel we have made truly excellent progress and we'll get there.

Looking forward
• Release 1.3 is work-in-progress and includes powerful new logic, such as Hold, Major Change, and Volume Differentiation.
• Release 1.4 is scoped to include MACD Sequences and Rays.
• I feel it is possible to design and build a profitable ATS based on ‘beginner’ logic.
• I feel there is a real advantage to designing and building a profitable ‘beginner’ release prior to incorporating greater sophistication/complexity

associated with YM or intra-bar decisions.
• The ATS architecture and code remains organized, modular, clean, intuitive, flexible, easily modifiable, and easily validate-able.
• We continue to deductively analyze the real world performance and make excellent additions and refinements.

gucci is an example of how some Hershey Traders "fall off the wagon" and return to Jack's koolaid, despite having occasional moments of sobriety.

I have accrued monster losses today. The only thing, I still can not understand is , why Jack spends a lot of time reconvincing a bunch of people, who do not give a shit about his system, but at the same is unable to find a minute for the people struggling in this thread. I guess I'm done with this thread. I wish all of you a lot of success, guys... I quit...

I'll be back at my PC on Monday. I'll catch up with the charts. Thanks, Jack.
