Why these Canadians would take Trump over Trudeau

Completely wrong.

It is well established that whatever a health care system is in theory for the general population of a country that in reality it varies considerably according to local demographics, income status ethnicity, prejudice etc. Learn something about your own country where it also a major issue. Life in Canadian Lily-Whiteville is not necessarily that as in Nanavut.

You are confusing the reality in the US to limited inefficiencies in our system. Again, you got the system you deserve, and if you are going to continue to make excuses and/or claim what a great system you have, there will be no solutions to it. If you love your system, then enjoy it and stop going on about our system in a negative fashion.

Again, you got the system you deserve.

Actually, we are getting a system that is less than we deserve. We are the major funder in the world of every international health program- not only through the government but through private giving- and funder of all the health related food programs etc. A good case can be made that Americans deserve more for themselves and deadbeat countries- Canada included- need to step up more. After all you owe your relative prosperity and safety to geographical location- not due to your own efforts. You have the Arctic Circle on the north and the United States on your souther border. If you had Mexico or Venezuela on your border or the problems that the EU has with immigration you self righteous bastards would vaporize within a month and be crying for martial law.

Also - going back to the Al Queda killer- let's just remind the viewers that the multi-multi million dollar compensation he got was not ordered by the Canadian Parliament or by a Canadian Court. It was a unilateral decision by your Boy Scout Puzzy Prime Minister to just pay him against the will of millions of Canadians who know right from wrong- thankfully. Remember when he had to backtrack after Fidel's death when he started singing Castro's praises. Yeh. Idiot. His first instinct is to do something stupid and lefty. He came by it honestly though. His father Pierre worshipped all things Cuban and his mother Margaret was/is a full blown bipolar nutcase with frequent institutional treatment. Put the two together and you have Baby Justin whose claim to fame is that he is Pierre's son and he was ski instructor at Whistler.

The ugly American act is boring and something most Canadians have seen for many years. We don't care. Canadians are patriotic about their country and most are tough as nails. Ask any professional sports team or successful corporate entity in the US what they think about Canadians and their character and potential, and the message will be extremely positive. Some of you go on and on about liberals and the left and how weak you think Canada is, but here's the reality. I, like several of my friends, have been recruited by US firms at some point in our lives, and chosen to reject that option. My daughter was hired by a Silicon Valley firm that is one of the fastest growing firms in your country. She was born and educated in Canada.

So what possible care in the world do I have about you and your aggressive Us-centric ideas ? None really. Occasionally I buy something on US Amazon. I get some entertainment value watching the circus that is US politics and various crisis, plus more traditional TV/Movies/Sports is something Americans do well. My home went way up in value when Trump emerged as a presidential candidate and the anti-immigration message hit US media. And in a kind of stick it to you irony, my daughter got a 6 figure income from a US firm despite officially living in Canada.

Look, the US is doing itself in, Canada has nothing to do with it. We told you not to invade Iraq but you insisted you had to. We strongly advocate fair trade with the US ( as do most of your trade organizations ), but Trump and others want to ruin that. So we're moving towards better ties with Europe and China ( new trade deals have been signed ) and are moving forward on the Paris Accord without the US. We will willingly accept any new corporate activity that results from US protectionist policies; it's already started in areas like AI. And we will protest aggressive uncalled for US military activity and not help you out on these projects.

Good luck with your projects but don't try to lump Canada into your sphere because we have always taken our own route throughout history. Similar to Americans in some ways but very different in others. Canada has it's own issues but nothing like current day US, you have very serious things to overcome that are new to the US and people are not yet ready to address them.

Under what medical insurance are you covered and how much does it cost per year ? Perhaps you are one of many Americans that underpay their taxes and that's why your "debt to GDP" is at all time highs and insurance premiums are rapidly increasing. I do worry that you are one of the baby boomers that is saddling future generations with debt. Don't be so selfish, time to pay your true tax burden.

If the US could have a medical system that is the "envy" of the world, then what's stopping you ? The reality is you have one of the worst systems in prosperous nations. A great system in the US neither helps not hurts me as a Canadian, but my sense of fair play is I don't like hearing that millions of Americans are uninsured and thousands die because of it ever year. But I do accept it's the system that Americans chose and good luck with that.
Typical leftist, read my post before you open your trap. fyi i am Canadian with US residence and pay taxes in both countries. You must sucking off the system that i pay for. Back of the soup line for you...
