Why these Canadians would take Trump over Trudeau

We have a high debt to GDP ratio because we have responsibilities around the world that we cannot abandon as the Canadians have. If we did, then I agree that we could afford a better health care system. Or at least if we required others to pay their fair share. I am sure that those shipments of surplus maple syrup to Ethiopia are appreciated but sometimes more than that is needed. Just sayin, eh?

Why did you need Canadians in Afghanistan then ? They weren't shipping maple syrup. Your world responsibilities are largely projects you chose because you can't keep your hands off other people's business and have poor priorities. You invaded Iraq at massive expense for NO good reason at all. That's on you and your idiot leader Bush. You bulked up your military far beyond what is necessary. Other nations will not pay for your poor judgement.

You chose excess military spending over health care. Even after Russia split up.

As I said, you fail to see world responsibilities. Canada went into Afghanistan because it is part of your obligations under the NATO treaty. A clear example of where you cheapskates are not paying your fair share along with some other deadbeat countries.

Trump is fixing that.

You have money though to compensate Al Qaida killers who kill American soldiers. Even decent Canadians are embarassed by that. You should be ashamed of yourself. That never would have happened if your current prime minister and his father were not cuban lefty bootlickers.

The U.S. offers quality medical care that is the envy of the world. People come from all over the world for medical care in the U.S. -- from Saudi, from Taiwan, from Europe, and from Canada. Many people from Canada. In fact at many specialty centers in the U.S. -- such as the Duke Heart Center, Canadians represent 10% of the patients in many years. The only thing you need is money -- cold hard cash -- to get the best medical care on the face of the earth in the U.S.

Life expectancy in the US is significantly lower then in Canada. You can talk this topic to death but hard facts like that cannot be ignored. Keeping people alive no matter what their financial position is a key part of health care. It's also a core part of Canada's value system. Certainly to many Americans like yourself, you are obsessed with money and the services you think you deserve because you have money. Not in Canada. Get in line and wait your turn, the world with one less network engineer will go on.

Perhaps Americans should be aware of how many Canadian soldiers were killed by American soldiers, and be less worried about what a child soldier under attack allegedly did. You don't see American soldiers being sued by Canadians. And you should feel shame for continually torturing a young man to entice a false confession.

Canada doesn't care what Trump has to say on anything. Canada is not a deadbeat nation; so much of the US economy depends on Canada. What is a constant is that many Americans know very little about Canada and continue to overestimate the US influence on the rest of the world. The economic decline in the US in recent years and mess that is your social services like health care have put many of you in denial or shock. You think threats are going to work out for you.

The reality is Canada is a great trading partner for you due to geography and the wealth of our nation, and diplomatically you need friends. But we have seen the light due to Trump and significant trade activity is being shifted to China and Europe.

Canada is basically the size of one of our large states like California. We have states that have life expectancies the same of higher than Canada. There is no comparison between the population of Canada and the United States. Poverty is one of the leading correlation factors when it comes to health issues. We are a world power with millions of legal and illegal immigrants coming in yearly in various states of physical and economic health. Unlike your lily white cherry picked small population. As I said, we have global responsibilities that you do not have. Also, Americans work harder and that has health implications that do not apply to Canadians.

Heh. Canada likes to think it is the Tibet of the North Woods. In reality you are totally dependent on selling oil to the Americans, and you accomplish this by raping and pillaging the oil tar sands in your western provinces. Americans actually have more tar sand deposits than Canadians do but we have higher environmental standards which keep us from doing what you do. Those gravy days are winding down for you now that the Americans have ramped up from fracking and OPEC is exporting into Canada. Not to worry, I am sure there is still a lot of demand for maple syrup.

Americans always seem to have excuses or people to blame for whatever ails them these days.
Your concept of "working harder" is quaint. Your idea pf parceling off areas of your country to compare reminds me of some of the silly education discussions on this forum. Statistically, you can't pick and choose whatever fits your narrative. Health care is a national issue not a local one like real estate.

Completely wrong.

It is well established that whatever a health care system is in theory for the general population of a country that in reality it varies considerably according to local demographics, income status ethnicity, prejudice etc. Learn something about your own country where it also a major issue. Life in Canadian Lily-Whiteville is not necessarily that as in Nanavut.

Naaa.
We let the convicted terrorists sue the Canadians.

Convicted under torture and threats of death in an illegal prison. International law specifically protects child soldiers, but of course the US under Bush ignored pretty much all international law at every step.
