S Sashe Nov 23, 2003 #1 Seems strange to me that there are no SPX options available at 1000 strike. Anyone with insight?
K ktm Nov 23, 2003 #2 There are 1000 strikes for them. Most chart packages get the symbology screwed up - QCharts for one. Select Friday's date (21st) and check out PG47 thru PG50 to see the settlements right from the CME. http://www.cme.com/dta/hist/bulletin_action.html?themonth=10&theday=20&theyear=2003&submit=Search

R resinate Nov 23, 2003 #4 Options on the S&P 500 futures trade at the CME. SPX options (options based on the cash) trade on the CBOE and indeed do skip the 1000 strike - I have no idea why. Instead there are strikes at 995 and 1005.
