Why the Iran Nuclear Agreement is Good for the U.S., Israel, and the Mideast

piezoe, you can't possibly be taking this deal seriously, it's all for show to make the chosen charcaters look good. Iran will always do what it has always done and USA will always do what we have been doing.

The sad thing is many observers believe a majority of the Iranian population are economic moderates if not down right capitalists. But for some reason they are too stupid to get rid of their maniac Ayatollah. Ah the hell with them. If you want to do business with us it is going to have to be outside what your buttheads and our buttheads agree on to look good on tv or in wikapedia.

all they show you on tv are dirty Iranians with machine guns shouting death to Israel. They never show you an Iranian man having a picnic with his family fishing with his son. They can't all be crazy. Yes, a few of them will strap a bomb on their back and do a suicide bombing, but if you have ever been young you probably know there is a woman involved. So let's just say they have a nuke? then what? What is the purpose of having a nuke if you know if you ever use it it assures the destruction of every man woman and child in your country?

I aint gonna lie to you, I don't like moslems, arabs or Iranians, but they can't all be that bad.

Sounds like politics in general.

Without the deal Iran keeps doing what it was doing. Could/Would it make a bomb? I remember stories in the '90s that they'd have one in five years. More stories in the mid-00's to the same effect. Down the memory hole like lots of propaganda.

Any deal that puts obligations on them gives us lots of future opportunities to jerk their chain (fairly or unfairly) if they make us unhappy in the future.

Let's see who ends up selling them arms when the funds are unfrozen.

maybe so, but the free flow of goods and capital and labor are good for you and good for me, and all Iranians and all Americans.

and sanctions are not free flowing. What kind of a nutcase says, "Let's make the world a better place by not buying and selling."? The anti cuban, anti Russia, anti Iranian nutcases are more communistic than the regimes they are fighting. If you believe in capitalism do it and use it and don't shut anybody off from it.

There seems to be a history of countries being punished for dispossessing Western business and banking interests. Cuba and Iran by sanctions. Sometimes it happens by not extending credit. Mugabe's Zimbabwe. Haiti after the slave revolts.

Not to mention Sadaam and the libyan guy.

When the U.S. invaded Iraq and destroyed its infrastructure and then captured and executed Saddam Hussein, they , in one fell swoop -- actually one swell foop -- virtually tied Saddam in the most Iraqis killed category and simultaneously got rid of the only man, it appears, that could keep Iraq from coming apart at the seams. So not only did they succeed in wrecking Iraq, but they also succeeded in helping Iran. And all this for only a trillion dollars! Quite an accomplishment for an imbecile president, wouldn't you say? Mission Accomplished!, indeed!

I imagine his Daddy is very proud of him.
