I have found many things that work. The rub is, the edge never lasts. It is the nature of the market to adapt thus destroy edges. The edges I am talking about are real edges that a simple guy like myself can't replicate. Interexchange option arb is one example of a real edge that I didn't have the infrastructure to replicate on my own. There are countless others. None have to do with TA or charts.
