Why TA does not work

A stop loss is a stop loss, whether it's in your head or with your broker.
Everyone uses one, by the way, whether they know it or not:
"Hoffman blew up today. He had Martingaled short about 852 TF contracts and was down about $250K when the system (He uses Infinity) locked the account and closed his position. Total loss about $312K as I guess the Infinity system closed him out with a market order."

You lone rangers working in solitary on the markets perpetual motion machines, certainly are not stupid, but the lure of easy money and perhaps a lucky streak --seems to have created a disconnect between market reality and your deeply held beliefs.
You must realize that by making statements like ATM machine etc, you are in effect claiming to be smarter, more clever, posess more talent than the entire market ecosystem now and that has ever existed. Those are bold clams. Remember, hubris comes before the fall---- this is market fact 101. surf

No, she never has under controlled conditions. Fact-- her student /accolade Ammo blew out of the controlled conditions of the combo. Who knows who else have entered but blew out so they stay quiet and humbled? These claims simply do not make sense, thus demand proof under controlled conditions. What about you Cornix? You are of the nodoji intuitive, mystical TA school, right? Why not step up to the plate? There's only upside if your claims are accurate. surf
Surf, of course "ATM" and like that is just having fun. In reality we treat our trading very seriously as it should be treated being a serious business.
Just you know, such a funny feeling to read how "TA doesn't work" and similar claims knowing exactly it DOES work (for us)... hence not always possible to resist from little provocative comments.
