Why Spitzer was brought down

Despite being an attorney Spitzer engaged in acts that would have created a liability on his office and political career. For any alert politcal opponent this was 'come shoot me' invitation and only fools would have let gone of the opportunity.

Bush administration has committed both willful and negligent mistakes that have proven very costly to the USA, but problem is American people elected him twice so few should complain now.

the fact that eliott spitzer visited a whore and expected to get away with it makes me think it's probably very common practice at his level, or that he knows of lots of high level officials doing the same thing with impunity

MANY wanted Spitzer taken down - he just built his own coffin through his actions and I have zero pity for him.

This Brasscheck piece is shallow propaganda, ultimately illogical and groundless. It would still appeal to minds of the many tribes of 'have-nots' in this country who play their entire lives as professional victims. Spitzer alone 'assassinated' himself.

But for all those who judge that they are best able to help themselves and make their own success as big as they want then it is always all there for the taking.

it's interesting in itself that spitzer's editorial against the bush administration's unconventional use of the OCC to fight consumer rights went into the same old void
