Why No Tea Bag Parties When Bush Caused This Mess?

Quote from dsq:

Yes this is about money and mostly money and always will be the main issue with most americans.Money,jobs,economy-get it?Ergo the Dow.

Money is a big issues especially when the government wastes my money. Even worse is that I have no say in how it is spent. Worst of all is that they spend and waste my money on programs and organizations that reduce my personal freedom, trample the US Constitution, and destroy principles of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and free markets.

So you are right, it does come down to money. Some of us are tired of the government taking an unjust share of what we work for to support their continuous growth and power grab.

Wow are you a dumb fuck. Every futures trader on this board just got a tax increase regardless if they make 20k or 500k.

Every self employed person is getting a tax increase via a higher SS cutoff.

Every investor is getting a tax increase-DUH-why do you think the market was breaking during 2008? LT longs wanted to cash out and pay 15% for the ride not the 28% to 35% retroactive cap gains that was being discussed.

Yeah, the economic crisis was triggered by tax increases for traders. What mortgage/cds crisis?Talk about a dumb FK.
Shouldnt you stick to your anti semitic and other racist rants?
Oh, i forgot the pres is black.Lets hear some of your colorful commentary-NOT.

Video is far from original. White liberals propelled Obama past the primaries.

Yeah and now some of them have voter's remorse.

Remorse for what? People who thought Obama was going to part seas create wine out of water were going to be disappointed.

Given the choice between McCain/Palin vs Obama/Biden I would vote for obama again because I voted for him for the right reasons: I wanted a departure from a belligerent warmongering foreign policy. Thus far I am happy.

Good for you. All I can hope for is he has enough sense as Clinton and back off on some of his wild social ideas and become more centrist because he is pissing off a lot of folks. Lets hope he is a quick learner.

DSQ, why is this so hard to get through your thick fucking head.

This is not about the DOW. The Dow could be up or down a 5000 more fucking points and these protests would have happened.

Barak Obama could be Jesus Christ himself and if he was expanding government like President Bushoma is currently doing the vast majority still would have protested.

Do you not see that all Obama is doing in about 90% of the cases is continue the policies of Bush. I think you do, you've basically mentioned it. So why do you love the man so much, when all he has done is continued everything Bush was doing. President Bushoma has brougth no change to Washington what so ever, in fact it's the most "inside" Washington group that has ever been in the WH.

These protests are about the Federal Governments continued disregard of the Founding Documents and would have happened even if Bushoma was a white guy. It would have happened even if former President Bush was still in the White House.

You can nah and protest that assertation all you want, but the loudest and most vocal critics of President Bush when this shit all started where REPUBLICANS. In fact 90% of the votes against this Bullshit, even when BUSH was in the WhiteHouse, have come from Republicans.

Obama got into office as much on Republican anger as on Democratic, but many of those who voted for him are now seeing he is not the alternative. Its more of the same.

I can also almost gaurantee you that if you continue to ignore and mock a large segment of our population they will eventually turn violent, and you wont like the result. It would be a good time for dialog, not for childish games of "We won" and "mine is bigger then yours".

One last point. Notice how many police in riot gear had to be called out to the tea parties.

How likely would that be with a code pink protest of similar size? Yeah who's the crazy violent crackpot now?

Brandon

excellent disertation Brandon.

Some people never question what hte Reps do,
Some people never question what the Dems do,
Some people are finally waking up and realizing there ain't a hill of beans between the two and it took Bush and Bama to wake them up.

Why hasnt one right winger answered me this:Why are these white trash nuts protesting taxes when Obama has given them a tax cut???

My guess is your not listening..I'll try again though.

First of all Obama has not actually lowered the real cost of government for most people.

The average American Family is getting a $13 and some odd cent per week tax "break" or cut or whatever you want to call it under Obama.
However, that same "average American family" is seeing increases of about $19 per week in other fee's, sin tax etc. So Obama can point to the hand that everyone looks at, and that is where they will look because God forbid we ask someone to think..but when you look at the real numbers the average American family is not saving anything.

The biggest point you miss though is that this protest did occur on April 15th only because of that days symbolic value. The reality is that this is not about taxes, higher or lower, this is about the amount of control the government is gaining over our lives.

Brandon

And if that control continues on the path unabated it will eventually affect everyone on the right .......... and the left.

I was going to go to a tea party with my "legalize marijuana" sign but I guess it was not my kind of party... I don't even want to smoke dope, I just want my fourth amendment back, and while we are at it, the judicial under control of the white house is out of control also... Hello.... Obama?

I can't believe that someone would make the argument that we have no right to protest a byzantine and unconstitutional government just because of a wee tax cut.
