Quote from I am...:
.
If you believe B you obviously do not know the Father. Is it any wonder, then, that most of the characters taunting me - ie. scribes, Pharisees - were those well-versed in such biblical nonsense?
Who or what, then, is perpetuating lies?
Jesus [/B]
Quote from jem:
Very interesting twist of phrase or bible. But you got it reversed.
You are missing the very point of why Jesus had a problem with the Pharisees.
Jesus was upset that these men would put their own man made rules in between God's people and God's word.
They substituted their legalisms for the bible. Jesus was ticked at the Pharisees because their Man made laws were being substituted for bible reading.
You are teaching the reverse message of Jesus and God.
Quote from Jehad:
If God does exist, then how come his existence is the most argued story on earth? How come, a long the history of man, there are thousands of different religions on earth, different Gods, different existence theories?
I was born as a muslim, truly believed in islam and breached it. However, my continues quest for the truth and my pledge to my self to be dare to question everything made me see what I believe is the truth: All religions, no exception, are a man invention. God does not exist: Why? Simply because we knew about God through religion. I now know that there is no purpose of life what so ever, when I die, I cease to exist forever. To someone, this is painful to admit. To me, it released a huge weight of my shoulder and I see life through different eyes.
If the existence of god, any god, any religion, does work for you, then go for it. What ever makes you happy, then do it. Life is nothing but a delusion, so chose the one that works for you. But if your goal is the truth, then you should be dare to ask the right questions and accept the answer. Where is God?
By the way, Jewdism, christianity and islam are one religion with different print version.
"God may be subtle, but he is not malicious" - Albert Einstein.Quote from andrasnm:
God is everywhere. It is Infinity, transcends to everything and everywhere. It is unspeakable and unthinkable as our mind cannot comprehend the infinite and transcendental to do its justice. All the word religions speak of the same God. It is useless to argue its name or try to "find" it as it is everywhere.
Namaste.

To me the most perplexing issue with a biblical God is hinted by the above quote. That is, why is God a silent God?

That is a good point. However, we have instruments that can hear what a dog hears, sort of. We still use dog noses to diagnose certain types of cancer because no man-made instrument even comes close to the sensitivity of a dogs nose. It is interesting that in the (Christian) bible, it says that if God came to visit earth it would be as a whale.Quote from ZZZzzzzzzz:
Because you can't hear God makes Him silent?
You can't even hear the sounds a dog can hear...

But I agree that we (I) do not hear the true word of God, yet.
