Why isn't total commissions included in my 1099B?

That's fine too. I didn't want someone to read it and get confused, even if momentarily

Then just report your first post. Or maybe this post. I have it on good info that reported posts are the first ones the mods see when they log on, so it is the first issue they would want to deal with and take action upon.

It is best that you email a broker when you have doubts specific to your account. You will get your issues addressed faster.

Of course. But in this case, if this indeed was the case, this definitely wouldn't have been a issue specific to my account
 
You know ignore this. I am sorry. They have included the commissions. All they have not included is the data feed costs. and that part is okay! I should have realized the difference is too small to cover yearly commissions :banghead:

Why does the IRS not accept deduction of data feed costs? In order to trade, you need to see what price you are trading at. Seems like a cost necessary to generate the income.

I realize that when it comes to the tax code, it is often impossible to find a good reason. But if a good reason exists in this case, I would like to know it. Anyone?
