Why isn't everybody selling options?

Please, group, do not answer this question. He's functionally illiterate and the answers are obviously in my response.

Have you ever had a point? $2,000 requirement, $3,000 payoff at 520. 150% potential at 520/share, you idiot. My 12yo niece could solve for that based-upon what was given.

I know you're young and gifted (1970s usage), but please stop pissing in this sandbox.

Absolutely true dat... Still, I personally have a strong, enduring and all-consuming preference: I would always be a buyer of cheap gamma rather than a seller of expensive gamma. Possibly because I appreciate the value of the implicit unquantifiable liquidity option.

No condors, as that's, in most cases, a broker-fest, in my world. I buy flies occasionally, but treat them as lottery tix, i.e. I say goodbye to the premium as soon as it leaves my pocket. I have done some 1x2s and ladders, though, but that must have been during momentary lapses of reason :).

OK, my inference was on modality. That your otm fly goes negative to gamma approaching neutrality on spot. You started you don't short gamma, which I took to mean at inception, so you're off the hook. :D

I think I see your point... At any rate, I am obviously a liar, since I have done nasty things like ladders, but I claim temporary insanity :).

Yeah, also guilty and still wonder why I didn't simply pay for the garbage.

Atticus, FYI my guys saw a buy to cover signal at 0700 this am on the front crude calendar. I am also advising them to move over to CL N-Q because models are shit when commercials are rolling strips.

Yeah, it is small. June/July hit 500. Are you referring to Brent/WTI? I'm not in that.

Quote from increasenow:

ya'll need to be thinking more of selling/writing naked options...that is where the HUGE cash is

I am not entirely convinced you're human.
