Everywhere I look I see this story about some douchebag who shot a lion. Yeah, the guy is an asshole, but why should I really care? I guess the media was all out of shark attack stories so they had to find another pointless story that means nothing to anyone. I guess Obama has created such a utopia that the only issue in the world is a lion getting shot in Africa and everything else is just peachy.

I once considered a move to a foreign country until I saw firsthand what type of American and Brit would be my neighbors there. I had no trouble whatsoever with the locals. It was the other ex-pats that put me off.
Probably you also caught today the rhino stories. So sad. 50% of the world's vertebrates are gone (by mass I assume) since 1970. Meanwhile, how about Man's mass since then (not counting the obesity epidemic)?
